With Baden and Alsace, two of the most tradition rich winegrowing regions in Europe have come together to allow their guests a new kind of wine tour: international, cross-cultural and with a range of culinary delicacies, activities and landscape experiences which represent a new dimension for wine tours.
Vintners and tourist operators on both sides of the river Rhine have now acknowledged that the things they have in common and the comparison of the local varieties have a special appeal for wine tourists. What you can find in Baden and Alsace is unparalleled: a large range of wine-growing areas with their specialities and varieties of grapes and wines on both the eastern and western banks of the allconnecting river Rhine.
For this reason, with the support of the European Union, the participating partners have not only exchanged experiences across country borders, they have also actively and energetically negotiated to determine challenging quality criteria in order to be able to develop and offer wine tours which are exciting, enjoyable and unique. German and French wine-growers and tourism managers came together to create this initiative to allow your guests an unforgettable wine tour experience.
