Burgundy - A Classic from the Upper Rhine

Aperitif: a glass of sparkling wine, followed by a 3-course dinner with specialities from Baden and Alsace, plus complementary wines.

After the meal: two pairs of comparable wines (in total: four different wines) for pure delight and "study purposes". Group initiation in the art of wine tasting. Classic Burgundy varieties and their flavours will be presented and the wine-growing areas Baden and Alsace will be compared. The influence of vineyard site and production methods on the taste of the wine will be discussed (Terroir and the art of the cellar master).
